If you have regular medication for a condition, that your doctor is aware of, you can periodically collect a repeat prescription from the practice without having to make an appointment.
Repeat prescription requests can be made by the following ways:
By Post / In Person / On Line
You can send in a printed request slip (available from the practice, which shows the medication you are taking) to the practice by post or in person. Alternatively, you can order repeat medication on line. You will need to be registered for on line services to do this. Please see the link to the left of the page.
Please allow two days before collection of your prescription, to allow it to be checked and signed by your doctor.

Electronic Prescription Service
We offer an Electronic Prescription Service. This means that you will are able to nominate a specific Pharmacy and once we have received your prescription request, we will process your prescription and send it electronically to that Pharmacy for you to collect your medication without the need for you to collect the paper prescription from the surgery first. If you register for our on line services, you will be able to order your medication on line and you will only need to visit your chosen Pharmacy to collect your medication and this will save you two trips out to the surgery.
We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from the 3rd March 2020.
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
If you do not have a nominated pharmacy, you will receive your prescriptions in the same way as you do now but with no written signature but a barcode for you to take to a pharmacy of your choice. The barcode will help the pharmacist to download your digitally signed prescription items and dispense them to you.
Read more about EPS on the NHS website.
3rd Party Requesting Repeat Prescriptions
As from 1st February 2020, the surgery will no longer be able to accept request for repeat prescriptions from your local pharmacies on your behalf unless you are exempted. This will stop wastage and for patients to take ownership of their prescription ordering and also reduce cost to the NHS.
The following group of patients are exempted:
Patients 75 years old and over
Vulnerable patients (patients with dementia, mental health, learning disability, housebound etc).
Patients with their medication in a dosset box.
Any patient who feel they will not be able to order their medication due to circumstances which we are unaware of, then please speak to a member of staff.
To make ordering your repeat prescriptions easier, you can sign up for On-Line Servies.
